Welcome to the world of fireflies.

Hi, I am Sumona Haldar, founder and creator of my dream child – Jonakee.

I am a clothing, jewellery, and art designer based out of Kolkata. After completing my educational degrees, I took a step towards my dance career. Dancing has been an essential element of my life without which I can’t breathe. I have participated in television dance reality shows. Dance has always been my first love; however, I have always been keen to discover art in its different forms.

Since childhood, art has been an integral part of my life and family. Having been brought up with varied cultures and values, I just couldn’t hold back and had to bring my dreams into reality. Designing has always been a part of me, but never thought of creating a career out of it, until I started with little creations through my brand.

And that was the stepping stone for Jonakee…..

Our Mission

My inspiration for creating art through jewellery, clothes and a lot more started from my home. I have been blessed with immense support from my parents, without whom this venture would not have been possible.

Our Approach

My brand is my own child. Jonakee brings you a huge amalgamation of reflections of your day-to-day life, your childhood filled with nostalgia, your youth full of confidence, and brings out the perfect notch in your personality. Kolkata is my dream city and it never ceases to surprise me with the variety and creativity, and that is what that keeps me going.

Our Stories

Jonakee works with an extremely talented group of artisans from rural areas of various parts of India. We as a team, support women who come with varied talents. It supports the life of more than 50 artisans who work day and night for my dream to come into existence.
